★Ingredients

1-2 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves (or 2-3 tea bags)

2 cinnamon sticks

Optional: sugar, honey, milk, or other spices (e.g., cloves, cardamom)

2 cups of water

★Instructions

  • Boil water: In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add cinnamon sticks: Place the cinnamon sticks into the boiling water and let them simmer for 3-5 minutes to release their flavor.
  • Add black tea: Once the cinnamon is fragrant, add the loose black tea leaves (or tea bags). Let the mixture steep for another 2-3 minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea.
  • Simmer and strain: Let it simmer for a few more minutes, then remove from heat. Strain the tea to remove the cinnamon sticks and tea leaves.
  • Serve: Sweeten with sugar or honey, and add milk if desired.
